Simply Botanical

Here's some new cards! yay! My mum asked me if I could make some thank you cards for her for some friends (she would have asked rosina but being half-tearm she thought she might have enough to do =/) so i thought id use some scraps i had from my last few challanges.

Here we have two cards made with the Botanical Blossoms Sale-a-bration stamp set and Simply said stamp set. I devided to colour in the flowers instead of two-step-stamping and it was actually quite effective.
And yes i decorated the inside, it makes for clearer, easier writing and means I get to stamp more (make more use of my stamp sets!) its the same reason why i decorate the envelops.

Blossom Friend Flair

Another card using a combination of Fall Flair, (my hostess set) and Botanical Blossoms (one of my sale-a-bration sets) Ive used a combination of bold bright inks and Earth elemants card. Hope you like.

I made this card for my wonderful friend Kim who is living in Italy and i cant wait to write and send it to her. The saying is a friend is someone who makes it easy from simply said (yes a decent camera is on my "to get" list)

Bithday Candle

A whole new meaning to the word birthday candle. A cheap fun present ill let you guess who for lol (even a good idea for a hostess reward or workshop which is different) see the tutorial for stamping on candles here. And don’t worry about the tissue paper it takes itself into the candle no problem. and ignore the American "wax paper" just ordinary Greaseproof Paper or Baking Paper will do it.

I used:
Fall Flair hostess rewards stamp set, Bold Butterfly stamp set, Botanical Blossoms Sale-a-bration Stamp set and a small heart from the sale-a-bration stamp set Yummy.

It ran a little bit in places so I think I might have over inked a bit but practice makes perfect.

Simply Butterflies

I made this card a while ago and pictured it knowing I would make a blog using my Simply said and Bold Butterfly stamp sets; Elegant Eggplant ink and card with Pretty in Pink ink and Card (could be pixie pink I cant remember) I got this idea (again) from some one on Split Coast Stampers but I cant remember who (sorry)

Tangy Inspiration

My new Tart and Tangy stamp set! With Real Red Strawberries and Green Galore Stalks I enjoyed making these. the words are from one of the sale-a-bration stamp sets "yummy" will have to re-do the notebook though because I messed up the corner image (why I didn’t use my stamp-a-ma-jig is beyond me) That’s "tempting Turquoise" card on the notebook and a strip of designer paper from "summer picnic" will add a tutorial for the box later.

Pink Roses

I've been having fun since my new stamps arrived! ^.^ check out my hostess rewards (a rose is a rose with a stamp-a-ma-jig) All the roses I have done have been with pink (of course) specifically Pixie pink and pretty in pink with dazzling diamonds glitter (although it doesn’t show up very well in the picture) the leaves are Handsome hunter and certainly celery. I loved decorating the envelops I got the idea for kownatkafamily from split coast stampers I wanted to copy her whole card its amazing! but I’m not that good (yet) I used Happy everything for one card and the words "to thine own self be kind" from the sale-a-bration stamp set "Botanical Blossoms" the dark browns are all chocolate chip (ink and card) the lighter brown card in close to cocoa and the yummy creamy card is very vanilla. I also made use of my scallop edge punch (which I’m in love with) ^.^

Crazy stamping

These are my two crazy for cupcakes cards. (one for a boy one for a girl....boys are challenging!!)

The Pink:
"Crazy for cupcakes" and "simply said" stamp sets
"Pretty in pink" card for main, image backing and word backing
"Whisper white" for image and backing
Pretty in pink(ish) ribbon
"Pretty in pink" ink for candle, cake case and background flowers
"Chocolate chip" ink for cake and words with "Bold Bright’s" for sprinkles (mmmm.... chocolate cupcake with sprinkles...) and "Yoyo yellow" for candle flame.
"Dazzling Diamonds Glitter" used but doesn’t really show up in the photo

The Blue:
"Crazy for cupcakes" stamp set
"Summer Picnic" designer paper for bottom strip
"Brilliant Blue" card for main card
"Bashful Blue" card for backing
"Whisper white" for images
"Real Red" ink for cherries
"Certainly Celery" ink for cupcake cases and balloons
"Only Orange" ink for cupcake cases and balloon
"Ballet Blue" ink for cupcake cases
"Chocolate Chip" ink for cakes
"Dazzling Diamonds Glitter" used on cakes

Cutting the excess string on the balloons was deliberate, I wanted to try and make them look individual.

Hello

I’m a stamp-a-holic and not looking for recovery any time soon. I have a unique relationship with my husband as he agrees that I don’t need recovery for two reasons:

1. He gets more time to play Xbox while I stamp
2. I told him he agreed
=D

well I thought its about time I shared my novice talents with the world so I’m going to be picturing my cards, following Abi's funky Friday challenge and even sharing my templates (once I write them down) anyone who feels the urge to start stamping should seek help from your local Stampin' up demonstrator. Please remember that a creative mess is better than an idle tidiness. (yes that’s what I call it...)
